US Marketing Manager

 

Function/Purpose:

Business Unit has immediate needs for talented marketers who are poised to lead the execution of strategy for assigned brands.  In collaboration with the global marketing team, you will develop annual marketing plans and long-term vision for execution to achieve revenue and profitability targets.  You will develop the overall platform P&L for assigned brand and establish marketing budget based on product revenue and profit targets.  You will ensure executional excellence, managing project completion on time and budget.  You will partner with the Customer Marketing division in the development of annual trade/promotional opportunities.  Finally, you will provide day-to-day marketing program execution to support all tactics, as appropriate.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Under the general direction of the Commercial Business Unit Vice President and senior team, you will:

1.      Develop by market business plans to achieve brand targets responsible for in-market revenue and profitability within context of brand positioning.

2.      Establish in market marketing mix for assigned category/brand(s).

3.      Gather competitive activity and retailer requirements.

4.      Input brand product needs including needed price points and target retail margins

5.      Develop a comprehensive by brand/item media plan.

6.      Execute and manage a fully integrated marketing plan.

7.      Provide strategic input to Global Brand team on key item drivers to address local market needs.

8.      Establish local market advertising mix plan and manage local market commercial adaptation.

9.      Develop and manage media plans and spending by brand, considering product movement and inventory levels.

10. Commit media dollars to support programming.

11. Implement in-market consumer promotions program consistent with brand strategy.

12. Plan and direct implementation of all Trade and account-specific promotional programs to achieve business goals.

13. Develop annual trade calendar for all major accounts in support of brand/item plan.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in consumer packaged goods marketing, preferably in a strategic execution role.
  • Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Advertising or related field.
  • MBA strongly preferred.
  • Functional experience and/or knowledge will include:
    • Proven ability to execute a brand and trade marketing strategy in a rapidly-changing organization.
    • Experience in transforming a strategy into actionable plans.
    • International experience and global perspective.

Critical Skills:

  • Compelling communication and ability to collaborate and influence cross-functionally.
  • Ability to make informed decisions quickly to keep performance on track.
  • Strong project management abilities; capable of prioritizing and handling multiple projects simultaneously, under tight time constraints and within budget parameters.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Well developed, verbal, written and presentation skills.

$70-80k + bonus
